Professor Ravi Savarirayan is a leading clinical geneticist and professor at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) in Melbourne, Australia, as well as an honorary paediatrician at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. His work has significantly advanced the field of genetic skeletal disorders. Professor Savarirayan has focused extensively on developing targeted therapies that address bone growth impairments associated with this condition. His research includes acting as the Principal Investigator on all of the clinical trials for novel achondroplasia therapies. Professor Savarirayan has led international consensus statements aimed at standardising care for patients with achondroplasia.
